I plan to enter Vietnam from China via Thanh Thuy border crossing north of Ha Giang. I will have Vietnam Visa already issued to me as an American. Will be traveling with Chinese national as my guide. Will they admit us into Vietnam at that crossing? Also, can Ha Giang permit be obtained there, or must we get permit in Ha Giang?

Dear all, I'll rent a car at Hanoi from October, travel around and give it back at the 1., November at DaNang. Is it possible, to get adresses of car rental companies and the most important question: "are I - as a tourist - allowed to drive a car by myself" (because I've heart, that tourists are not allowed to do this) Thank you for a quieck answer. Best regards Brigitte Peine

Hello, I am Lisa. When I go to shopping I see that there are not fixed prices at the market. Someone said that I have to bargain but I don't know how to bargain and I have never had to do that before. What's your advice to me for getting a good price?

We are in Thailand from the 28th January until the 20th of February and we wish to visit Vietnam during our stay. What is the best way to do this in terms of Visa\'s? At this stage we do not know our plans for getting into the country or exact dates, will this be a problem?
What would the prices be for a Tourist Visa? We will be in a group of 5 who are all from New Zealand. At this stage we plan to enter Vietnam overland either through Cambodia or Laos. Would there be a preferable overland option to make entering Vietnam a little easier?

How many kilograms can I bring when fly with Vietnam Airlines? Should we bring our camcorders? I wonder if it will be too much extra weight to carry.
