Vietnam weather in September 2010/2011

September records the highest rainfall in Vietnam. Hanoi enjoys pleasant autumn weather with adequate sunshine though rain may drop ceaselessly for some days. Halong gets cloudy while Sapa is sunny most of the time.

Hue and Hoian begin to observe some great typhoons with torrential rain. Nha Trang also enters its rainy season. Ho Chi Minh city and Can Tho may receive the biggest rainfall this month. Mekong Delta is seriously affected by floods.

Reservations

September is not a good month to travel throughout Vietnam though the whole country is still expected to have some beautiful sunny days. If you cannot afford other months, be on top of local weather. Reservations are generally unnecessary.

Costs

September marks the beginning of the high season but prices do not change much. This is also a good time to practice some bargaining.
