Vietnam weather in October

This is one of the finest months to visit the north. Hanoi is experiencing its typical autumn weather, cool and pleasantly dry with stable temperatures around 26°C (80°F). Halong and Sapa enjoy adequate sunshine with clear sky. The far north, however, is in danger of typhoons, floods and landslides.

Hue, Hoian and much of the central coast, including Nha Trang, will observe the worst time of year. Some of the most destructive typhoons in Vietnam have been recorded here during this month.

Ho Chi Minh city receives less rainfall while the Mekong Delta is on the peak of flood season.

Reservations

October should not be a great time to head to Central Vietnam but an ideal month to drop in the north. Reservations are unnecessary.

Costs

Prices are on the rise but just a small change. Despite high season, bargaining may still hold its significance anyway.
